Yes. Electronic signatures are legally binding under the federal ESIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act adopted by most states. Docket's audit certificates satisfy record-keeping requirements for enforceability.

What devices can clients use to sign?

How often are signing reminders sent?

By default Docket sends a reminder 24 hours after the initial send, then every three days until the document is signed. You can customize the frequency or add SMS reminders.

Where are signed documents stored?

Signed documents are automatically filed to the case drive in the appropriate folder. The original document, signatures, and audit certificate are bundled together and retained per your firm's policy.
